### Session 1

Start At: 2020/11/28 03:20 PM

MDM partners with Y-Z Education Services and provide online streaming courses for grade 7 students in the topic of Pre-Algebra.

Our classes generally serve three purposes:

- Help students reinforce and prepare for what they currently learn in school so that they will gain confidence in the subject and have the ability to ace their exams, or;
- Help students who currently already excel in school to get ahead and learn the subject a year in advance, giving them to option of either testing out of the subject or having a very solid foundation the next year, or;
- Help students prepare for specific competitions and exams.

In these 18 sessions, you will learn:

• Number and operations. The student applies mathematical process standards to represent and use real numbers in a variety of forms.

• Proportionality. The student applies mathematical process standards to use proportional relationships to describe dilations.

• Proportionality. The student applies mathematical process standards to explain proportional and non-proportional relationships involving slope.

• Proportionality. The student applies mathematical process standards to use proportional and non-proportional relationships to develop foundational concepts of functions.

• Expressions, equations, and relationships. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop mathematical relationships and make connections to geometric formulas.

• Expressions, equations, and relationships. The student applies mathematical process standards to use geometry to solve problems.

• Expressions, equations, and relationships. The student applies mathematical process standards to use one-variable equations or inequalities in problem situations.

• Two-dimensional shapes. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop transformational geometry concepts.

• Measurement and data. The student applies mathematical process standards to use statistical procedures to describe data.

• Personal financial literacy. The student applies mathematical process standards to develop an economic way of thinking and problem solving useful in one’s life as a knowledgeable consumer and investor.
